New Hampshire Man Accused of Trapping Woman and Young Daughter After Pushing Over Portable Toilet

A New Hampshire man is facing charges after allegedly knocking over a portable toilet from behind, trapping a woman and her young daughter inside last week, police said.

Knewz.com has learned that Aiden Studer, 18, has been charged with two counts of criminal restraint and criminal mischief, according to the Manchester Police Department.

He was also charged with simple assault on a police officer for allegedly throwing something at a responding officer.

On Wednesday, May 8, a young mother called 911 to report that she and her 4-year-old daughter were trapped inside an overturned portable toilet at Derryfield Park, and were covered in feces and bodily fluids.

Police said bystanders quickly lifted the portable toilet up to free the woman and her daughter.

Witnesses told responding officers that Studer and the woman had been arguing near the toilet, and when she went inside to assist her daughter, he pushed it over, and it landed with the door on the pavement.

Police said "it appears the victims and the suspect did not know each other," but did not specify what the alleged argument was about.

Aside from exposure to the bodily fluids and chemicals in the toilet, the woman and her daughter were uninjured, police said.
