Family First: Star Athlete Takes His Talent to Saint Anselm
The crack of the bat is arguably one of the greatest sounds in all sports. Such a loud and sharp sound may cause the average onlooker to wince or flinch as the ball flies off the bat. But as senior Charlie Petruney stands in the batter’s box, his expression does not change. With each swing of the bat, he maintains focus on his only objective. He has been in this position before, perhaps even a thousand times. Every movement is conditioned to perfection, yet he fails more than he succeeds. After all, his love for the game prevails.
Campbell and Kearsarge girls basketball face off in season opener
In a thrilling season opener, Campbell and Kearsarge girls basketball teams, both previous D-3 tourney participants, showcased their skills. Malden resident inducted into National College Athlete Honor Society
Saint Anselm College student Jane Harrington of Malden, Mass., a Communication major in the class of 2024, has been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, a national scholar-athlete honor society, for the 2022-2023 academic year. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college students who receive a varsity letter in their sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and/or senior years. Inductees rank among the top student athletes in the country.
