Local drive-in theater suffering from slow opening to season, owner says
LIBERTY CENTER, Ohio — A drive-in-theater in Henry County has had one of the slowest openings to a season in quite some time. Donna Saunders, co-owner of the Field of Dreams Drive-In Theater, says the entire drive-in industry is hurting. She said there are estimates that in 2022, only 300 drive-in theaters were still in operation in the U.S. and that 20 of those have closed this year.

Christopher Landwehr, 51, Cloverdale, appeared for sentencing on a charge of attempted disrupting public services, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on community control for five years with conditions, including that he serve 45 days in Putnam County Jail with work release (and credit for 24 days served while his case was pending), and complete any recommended counseling and treatment.

NAPOLEON — A preliminary hearing has been continued for a Metamora man charged with intentionally striking a house near Liberty Center several times last week with his vehicle, then causing minor injuries to two investigating sheriff’s deputies.
