Woman arrested after allegedly driving stolen vehicle

MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police arrested a 24-year-old woman after she allegedly drove a stolen vehicle Friday afternoon.

The woman was identified as Khariyhana D. Martin and the vehicle was reported stolen out of Middleton and was tracked down to a shopping area near the 1700 block of Thierer Road.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and Martin was the only person inside the vehicle.

Officials say she kicked at officers when they tried to detain her.

No officers were injured

A folding knife was found on Martin according to police.

Martin was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent, battery law enforcement, carrying a concealed weapon, felony bail jumping, and for a warrant out of Columbia County.

She was taken to the Dane County Jail.
