MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police asked for help Tuesday in identifying a man suspected of stealing from a downtown bicycle store last week.

Employees at Machinery Row Bicycles, located in the 600 block of Williamson Street, reported the burglary at around 8:20 a.m. on Friday. A back window of the store was damaged and a crowbar was found nearby.

Police said security footage from the store shows a man stealing three bikes. One of the bikes was left outside the business. The missing bikes are a large 2023 Trek FX 3 in blue-to-black fade and a white 2014 Trek Cali Carbon SL.

Anyone with information on the burglary is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or online at p3tips.com .
