Muncie Central vs Logansport football sectional championship updates
Sectional championship week of the IHSAA football postseason is here, and only one East Central Indiana team is left standing. Muncie Central (8-4) will host Class 4A No. 10 Logansport (12-0) for the Class 4A Sectional 20 championship. The Bearcats stunned Yorktown in a 28-27 instant classic last week to punch their ticket to a sectional championship game for the first time since 2006. The Berries are coming into this game undefeated and ended the Bearcats' season in the sectional semifinals a year ago, so the purple and white are seeking some revenge as they look to bring home the program's first sectional title in 20 years. Rossville volleyball comes up short in first state championship game
INDIANAPOLIS — Throughout the 2026 postseason, Rossville volleyball defied the odds all the way to the state championship. But on Saturday, Nov. 7 in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, its dreams at chasing more history came to an end. Indianapolis Lutheran defeated the Hornets in a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-11, 25-21), earning its first Class 1A state title in school history. A season that brought Rossville its first semi-state win and state championship appearance has felt like a movie for coach Lexi Ellenwood. A noted fan of “Hoosiers,” her team fit the bill of a small-town school that battled from a rough start and put it together in the end. It didn’t result in a storybook ending like the film with a state title, but it doesn’t take away from how memorable of a year it’s been.
