Bourbon Man Arrested Following Accident in Marshall County
A Bourbon man was arrested Wednesday, June 7 after an accident investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Bourbon Police Department responded to the area of Elm Road and 11th Road in Bourbon for an accident. When they arrived at the scene, a Bourbon Police officer found a vehicle with heavy front end damage and a pole that had been hit.
Plymouth Police Arrest Two for Operator Never Licensed
The Plymouth Police Department arrested two people for operator never licensed in two separate incidents Monday, June 5. Officers were called to the parking lot of Wings Etc. in Plymouth for a property damage accident at 5:18 p.m. ET. After an investigation, 42-year-old Lenny Figueroa-Padilla of Plymouth was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

Several Marshall County Residents Complain about Road Conditions
Several residents have complained about road conditions this spring to the Marshall County Commissioners. There are several roads that have been reclaimed, or ground, this spring and Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters previously explained that it takes some time for some elements to settle before work is done to put on a hard surface. In most instances, the road will be chip sealed. In all, 47.75 miles of roads have been reclaimed this year with a hard surface yet to be applied. Peters said that it is the goal to have a hard surface on all reclaimed roads by the end of July, which is dependent on the weather. Paving will start after that schedule.

Warrant Service Leads to Arrest of Kokomo Man for Child Molestation
Tuesday morning, shortly after 1 a.m., a Kokomo man was arrested on numerous felony charges after being tracked down in Miami County for a Howard County Warrant. Trooper Chad Babbs and Trooper Kyle Miller, along with members of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office and the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, began an investigation after receiving information on the possible whereabouts of 46-year-old Geremy D. Miller of Kokomo. Miller had an active warrant for 24 felony counts relating to child sex crimes. Law enforcement officers went to a residence in Bunker Hill where Miller was located and taken into custody without incident.
Peru man faces multiple drug, gun charges
Jun. 8—PERU — Police arrested a Peru man this week after they say authorities located drugs and several illegally owned guns at his Miami County residence. Blaine J. O'Neil, 55, is now facing four level 5 felony charges of unlawful possession of a handgun with a prior felony conviction, a single level 5 felony charge of possession of a narcotic drug and a single misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana, according to online court records.

Scott Jones terminated from fire department, will receive back pay
Jun. 8—Scott Jones' employment with the Logansport Fire Department was terminated Wednesday, ending a five-year period of uncertainty following a 2018 arrest. The Board of Public Works and Safety determined Jones will receive back pay from the Public Employees' Retirement Fund and health insurance, after approval, up until June 7.
