    Sebastian Soderberg.

We have our first ace of the 2024 PGA Championship .

On a soggy Friday morning at Valhalla Golf Club, 33-year-old Sebastian Soderberg stepped up to the 169-yard eighth hole and drilled his iron shot for a hole-in-one he'll never forget.

His tee shot landed softly a few feet in front of the hole, took one bounce and popped straight into the hole for an ace. It marked the 30th hole-in-one at the PGA Championship since 1983 and the first since Michael Block's life-changing ace in the final round at Oak Hill last year.

If you've never heard of Soderberg before, that's likely because he's not a member of the PGA Tour. The Swede has played on the DP World Tour for the last six years, and he qualified for the PGA Championship this year for the first time in his career.

He's never been ranked higher than 92nd in the Official World Golf Ranking, but that could change after this week. Thanks to the ace, Soderberg currently sits in a tie for 70th place at even par.

The top 70 players and ties will make the cut at Valhalla.

Due to the soft, rainy conditions in Louisville, Kentucky, this might not be the only hole-in-one we see at the PGA Championship. Keep an eye on the eighth hole all day.
