‘Man of the People’ Boban Marjanović Wins Free Chicken for Fans vs. Clippers

With the NBA season down to its final five minutes for the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers, there was little left to play for on either side.

Houston had already been eliminated from playoff contention, and the Clippers already had clinched the No. 4 playoff seed in the Western Conference. But for the fans in attendance at Crypto.com Arena, one thing was still on the line: free chicken.

If a Clippers opponent misses back-to-back free throws, fans win a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, as Rockets fan Michael Beckman detailed on X, formerly Twitter. And when Houston big man Boban Marjanović stepped to the line and missed his first attempt, fans began cheering.

Marjanović’s response? He gave the people what they wanted and even told them he was doing it.
