FREEHOLD – A crash that left one person dead in Manalapan on Thursday is under active investigation, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Friday. LACEY – A Forked River man faces life imprisonment for strangling his wife and leaving her body on the side of the road. Jeremy B. Cruz, 53, killed his wife, Dawn C. Cruz, 51, on October 30, 2022. A driver spotted her body near the intersection of Colonial and Asbury avenues in Ocean Township in Monmouth County.
Arrest Made In Machete Road Rage Incident
TOMS RIVER – A man who allegedly used a machete to threaten a driver was arrested after a crash. Police said that a road rage incident at around 6 p.m. on April 24 was the start of the situation. The victim said he was stopped at a red light on Water Street when the suspect tapped on his window with a machete.
Ocean County Woman Admits To Robbery And More
TOMS RIVER – A Township woman has admitted to robbing a woman, spitting on police officers and more, over several dates in 2023, officials said. Olivia Paige, 35, of Toms River, pled guilty to Robbery in connection with an incident that occurred on August 29, 2023, in Lakewood. Additionally, Paige pled guilty to Possession of Cocaine from an incident on January 11, 2023, in Brick. Finally, Paige pled guilty to Aggravated Assault from an incident that occurred on April 14, 2023, likewise in Lakewood.
Local authorities respond to fire at Lincoln Court plaza
BRICK — At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 local emergency authorities responded to a reported fire at the plaza on Lincoln Court in Brick Township, home to Cuzzin’s Pizza, Jay’s Food Market and Jerry’s Dry Cleaner. The cause of the fire is not known at the time of publication, however, on scene images show first responders fighting a fire on the roof of the plaza.
Brick Township High School grad, 18, dies from injuries suffered in Manchester crash
Family members and friends are mourning the loss of an 18-year-old Brick woman who died last weekend of injuries she suffered in a crash in Manchester on April 14. Catalina Reinoso, 18, who graduated from Brick Township High School last year, was injured in the single-vehicle collision that occurred at 2 a.m. that Sunday on Lacey Road, a family member said.
SUV Crash Knocks Out Power, Shuts Down Road In Wall Township: Police
In a Facebook post, Wall Township police said a vehicle hit the pole along Hospital Road at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 25. No injuries were reported in the crash. A photo from Wall police showed an SUV lying on its left side in the middle of the road. Two utility poles were leaning and there was also damage to a nearby fence.
