PODA begins in Downtown Parkersburg next week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The city of Parkersburg will be bringing Private Outdoor Designated Area a.k.a. PODA to Downtown Parkersburg. This means that you will now be allowed to drink alcoholic beverages along Market St. but those drinks must be in a designated PODA cup provided by Downtown PKB and the beverage must be given to you by the permitted businesses.

PARKERSBURG — The outcome of one Parkersburg City Council race won’t be determined until after Monday’s canvass. Councilman Mike Reynolds, the longest-serving member and this year’s council president, leads Cathy Whitlatch 174-161 in the Republican primary for the District 6 seat, according to final, unofficial results from the Wood County Clerk’s office.
