    2nd Annual Ranch Verse promises variety of Western talent

    LUBBOCK, Texas — The second annual Ranch Verse will be held on August 3 at the National Ranching Heritage Center and in the evening at the Cactus Theater. Acclaimed Western artists Waddie Mitchell, Brigid and Johnny Reedy, Gail Steiger and Ed Ashurst will join Andy Hedges for a special day of Western storytelling, said a press release.

    “Ranch Verse is a rich tapestry of Western culture, offering a diverse program including working cowboy stories, cowboy poetry, Western music, and discussions of the ranching way of life,” shared host Andy Hedges, who produces Ranch Verse alongside the National Ranching Heritage Center.

    City of Levelland police chief announces retirement on Thursday

    The daytime event is free and open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the National Ranching Heritage Center. The evening concert will be held at the Cactus Theater from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
