Construction scaffoldings and crews have been dotting Main Street in Springfield for quite some time now as numerous projects are underway, transforming the streetscape in an effort to enhance the downtown experience and update historical buildings. Scaffolding platforms situated over the sidewalk outside Plank Town Brewing Company allow workers access to the outer shell of the building for improvements.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County deputies responded to a reported shooting in a residential neighborhood that left two injured Wednesday afternoon. According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:40 p.m. on April 24 deputies heard reports of shots fired on Cinnamon Avenue in Eugene. Deputies arrived to find one woman with a gunshot wound, identified as Melissa Holland, who later died of her injuries. Deputies said the suspect left the scene in an older silver SUV before law enforcement arrived.
