State Police Investigating Shooting Outside of a Bar
The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred last night in the Long Neck area of Millsboro. On June 2, 2023, at approximately 11:06 p.m., troopers responded to the Paradise Grill located at 27344 Bay Road for a report of shots fired. Troopers arrived and learned that several black males had been fighting with a white male inside the bar. The bouncers escorted the black males outside, but they went back inside and tried to fight the other male again. The man then left the establishment with two women, and as they drove out of the parking lot the group of black males began running after their car. Gunshots were fired and heard during this time, but the car continued driving away and did not stop. All subjects involved then fled the area.
Sussex County Drug Unit Arrests Three for Crack, Heroin
SUSSEX COUNTY, DE – Three men were arrested on Thursday by the Sussex County Drug Unit. After a four-month investigation, detectives executed a search warrant on a Dagsboro residence suspected of drug dealings. The arrested men were identified as 34-year-old Clarence Mobley, 41-year-old Wilbert Perkins, and 28-year-old Devontay Jones, all residents of Dagsboro. Detectives found approximately 25.13 grams of crack cocaine and 1.365 grams of suspected heroin on Mobley, who was arrested during a traffic stop while leaving the property. At the property, Perkins was found with 10.28 grams of crack cocaine and 0.819 grams of suspected heroin. Teen charged for fight at Delaware high school graduation
GEORGETOWN, DE – A 16-year-old female suspect was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and one count of disorderly conduct following a fight at a high school graduation on Wednesday. The Delaware State Police arrested the teen, who was later released to her parent by Justice of the Peace Court 3. Her name was not released due to her age. Delmar Man Arrested for Stealing Car in Millsboro
DELMAR, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested Terry Toomey, a 35-year-old man from Delmar, for allegedly stealing a car in Millsboro yesterday. On Wednesday afternoon, around 4:15 p.m., a trooper responded to Daisey Road after receiving a report about a stolen dark green Ford Focus. In addition to the car, the owner reported stolen fishing gear from inside the vehicle. At 7:00 p.m., an officer from the Dagsboro Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle being driven through the town.
