    TBI investigating inmate’s death at Campbell County Jail

    CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating an inmate’s death at the Campbell County Jail.

    According to the TBI, an inmate, identified as 26-year-old Faith Evans, died at the jail Monday morning. TBI special agents are investigating what led to her death at the request of Eighth Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler.

    TBI said the investigation remains active and ongoing.

    Agents were also requested to investigate an inmate death earlier this month. Gary Wayne Burriss, 47, was found dead at the Campbell County Jail on April 19.
