KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Fulton senior basketball player Tyler Lee has signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball with the University of Central Arkansas. Lee was the TSSAA Class 3A Mr. Basketball for the 2024 season and is a two-time Class 3A State Tournament MVP.

Kennedy Dykes signed to be a cheerleader at Tennessee on Wednesday. Dykes is the daughter of ESPN and SEC Network basketball analyst Jimmy Dykes. “So proud of our daughter Kennedy for signing with the University of Tennessee cheer team,” Jimmy Dykes announced. “She’s headed to Rocky Top.” Jimmy Dykes served as women’s basketball head coach at Arkansas from 2014-17, compiling a 43-49 (15-33 SEC) record. He guided the Razorbacks to the NCAA Tournament during his first season. He also served as a men’s assistant coach in the Southeastern Conference at Arkansas (1984-85) and Kentucky (1987-89). Tennessee has highest combined attendance in the US for football, men's and women's basketball games in 2023-24
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Good ol' Rocky Top! The University of Tennessee posted the highest overall attendance of any school in the country for football and men's and women's basketball games in 2023-24. The school said 1,161,218 people attended Tennessee's 38 home events in those three sports. This figure put Tennessee over 96,000 above second-place LSU, which had 44 home events. The only other school to top one million was South Carolina, which had 41 home events.
Darlinstone Dubar signs with Tennessee
Hofstra transfer guard Darlinstone Dubar signed with Tennessee on Thursday. Dubar has one year of eligibility remaining after playing three years at Hofstra. “We are pleased to welcome Darlinstone and his supportive family into the Tennessee basketball program,” Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said. “He is already an accomplished collegian who will add a lot to our team. Darlinstone is a true competitor and you know what you will get from him every day. A versatile player who can excel at multiple positions, he is an excellent 3-point shooter who can also knock down midrange shots and finish at the rim. Darlinstone brings toughness and a strong work ethic, both of which will mesh well with the players already in our locker room.” During his four-year career with Hofstra and Iowa State, he totaled 1,359 points and 580 rebounds.
