    Stay hot, Nick Senzel.

The Washington Nationals utility player and former Tennessee baseball standout hit a pair of towering home runs on Sunday, raising his season total to five, which have all came in the last five games.

The former No. 2 overall pick to the Cincinnati Reds of the 2016 MLB Draft hit his first home run, a 404-foot, two-run blast over the center field wall, in the fourth inning to bring the Nationals' deficit to 7-5 in their road game against the Miami Marlins.

The Farragut graduate then hit another in his next at-bat, giving Washington a 9-7 lead on a three-run, 411-foot home run.

Senzel's two home runs through seven innings of the Nationals' game on Sunday raised his slash line this season to a .229 batting average, a .270 on-base percentage and a .657 slugging percentage.

The 28-year-old is in his first season with the Nationals after spending 2019-23 with the Reds.

Senzel played three seasons for the Vols, batting .352 with eight home runs, 59 RBIs and 25 stolen bases as a junior en route to being named a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist and a second-team All-SEC selection.

Senzel signed with Georgia before being released of his national letter of intent as a senior to instead attend Tennessee.
