Cold case murder suspect from De Pere arrested after 34 years
DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - Investigators never gave up. And found their murder suspect in De Pere, Wisconsin on March 15, 2023. 63-year-old Kelvin Keith Emmons from De Pere was arrested for the 1988 murder of Angel Martinez - the victim, from Cypress, California, was reported missing by his wife on the day of his disappearance, June 8, 1988, according to a news release published by the Fontana Police Department on their Facebook page. Martinez’ body was discovered in La Paz County, Arizona, on June 20, 1988.
91st and Appleton killing, Milwaukee man sentenced
MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man has been sentenced to more than two decades in prison for a 2022 fatal shooting on the city's north side. Jaruthh Gathings, 29, was sentenced Friday to 26 years and three months in prison. He pleaded guilty in January to felony murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Snow plows in The City of De Pere had an unexpected wake up call Saturday morning. “Really taken by surprise as far as the volume of snow, we were expecting some but we really weren’t expecting this kind of volume,” says City of De Pere Street Superintendent, Tony Fietzer.
Roads blocked in Outagamie and Waupaca counties
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reporting several complete road blocks in Outagamie and Waupaca Counties due to vehicle crashes. The blockages affect all lanes of traffic in both directions on highways WIS 54 eastbound and westbound at WIS 55 northbound in Outagamie County near Seymour. The other blockage is on WIS 96 eastbound and westbound at MM 5 near Fremont in Waupaca County. Wisconsin Cheese Factory Owners Gunned Down by Their Son
A Wisconsin couple that owned Union Star Cheese Factory in Fremont, Wisconsin were shot and killed in their home, apparently by their son. New Neenah High School tour canceled
FOX CROSSING, Wis–A public tour of the new Neenah High School is canceled. The district planned to host tours of the building next Wednesday, but the Fox Crossing Fire Department says the public cannot be allowed in until proper fire safety equipment has been installed. Quadruplet Brothers Spear Whopper Sturgeons
A set of quadruplet bros from Greenville, Wisconsin recently hit Lake Poygan together to do a little sturgeon spearing together. They all had success. One of them even speared one of the heaviest sturgeons ever taken on the lake. 2 of the 22-year-old O’Connell brothers are college students while the other two work in the construction industry.
