One dog found deceased after residential fire in Greenville, firefighters investigating
GREENVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – One dog is dead after a structure fire on Wednesday afternoon in Outagamie County. Two Chicago men accused of stealing checks worth over $500k from Outagamie County businesses
(WFRV) – Two men believed to be tied to multiple stolen check incidents across northeast Wisconsin were arrested in Manitowoc County after a months-long investigation. According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, two men from Chicago were arrested for allegedly stealing checks from businesses. Back in early December, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office got multiple complaints of mail theft, specifically from the industrial park in the Village of Greenville.

Fox Valley Roofing Contractor Faces Over $140,000 in Fines for Alleged OSHA Violation
(WTAQ-WLUK) — One of the Fox Valley’s largest roofing general contractors is facing over $140,000 in proposed fines for an alleged safety violation. The U.S. Department of Labor announced Tuesday that Security-Luebke Roofing Inc. in Appleton — as well as subcontractor JJ Roofing in Kaukauna — have been cited for repeatedly failing to protect their employees from deadly fall hazards.
Phone Scam Hitting Calumet County
Calumet County residents are being warned of a telephone scam that’s circulating in that county. The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of people getting a call from a man claiming to be with the Sheriff’s Office. The caller tells his intended target that there’s a warrant for their arrest, and that a payment, typically via a gift card, is the only way to avoid being taken into custody.

Appleton sees Increase in Retail Thefts
APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) Appleton business owners should stay vigilant; and be aware of shoppers with sticky fingers. So far this year, the Appleton Police Department has taken complaints of 81 retail theft cases. At this time last year, that number was 61.
