Weekend Bridge and Street Closures May 3-5 in The Bronx
NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) advises residents of the following street and bridge closures in The Bronx as of the weekend May 3-5. The right lane in both directions will close Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and an alternating center lane in either direction will close Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through May 10 to facilitate rope cable cleaning, machinery repairs, and electrical conduit installation. Alternating sidewalk closures will be in effect.

The First Squad reports the arrest of a male Juvenile for a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Uniondale. According to Detectives, Officers responded to Turtle Hook Middle School located at 975 Jerusalem Avenue for a robbery that occurred on the soccer field. The defendant approached a 13-year-old male victim and displayed a knife placing him in fear for his safety. The defendant then forcibly removed the victim’s sweatshirt and fled the scene. A short time later, officers located the defendant and arrested him without incident.
