Police News: New Officers in Huntington

Nineteen officers fresh from the Suffolk County Police Academy have been assigned to the Second Precinct in Huntington.

The department announced the new assignments for members of the 23-190 recruit class on Instagram.

Meeting Tuesday

The Second Precinct’s monthly public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the stationhouse, 1071 Park Ave., Huntington. Residents of the precinct are invited to attend to hear from police leaders about concerns, updates and more.

Operation Medicine Cabinet

Police are continuing their Operation Medicine Cabinet, collecting unused or unwanted medicines for disposal.  Six more sessions, all based at public libraries, are scheduled. See the flyer below.

Honors for Cops

The Suffolk County Police Department’s top DWI officers, including 2nd Precinct Officer Mike Albano, were honored at a MADD and STOP DWI annual awards ceremony in Albany.
