A group of tenants at the Moxey Rigby in Freeport say that their concerns about their housing situation is falling on deaf ears.

The renters at 195 East Merrick Road tell News 12 that the fire alarm in their building is going off constantly, waking them up at all hours of the night.

"The alarm is frequently blasting and terrorizing this whole building," says one tenant.

The development is under the Freeport Housing Authority and managed by Georgia Property Management.

A housing representative tells News 12 that the fire alarm system is working properly and that it was set off two days ago after a tenant had been smoking in their unit.

Officials tell News 12 a state fire marshal will be inspecting the fire alarm system at the complex on Tuesday.
