Police said Ashley Dilone Gomez of East 212th Street, between Bainbridge Avenue and Dekalb Avenue, was last seen leaving her home at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. She is described as female, Hispanic, has a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing gray and black pajamas.
Motorcyclist Seriously Injured after Colliding with Motor Vehicle in Oceanside
The Fourth Squad reports on an Auto Accident that occurred on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 6:20 pm in Oceanside. According to Detectives, a 50-year-old male operating a 2015 Honda motorcycle, was traveling near the intersection of South Long Beach Road and Seitz Avenue when he was struck by a 43-year-old male operating a 2020 Toyota. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Nassau DA: Freeport Man Convicted of Murder in 2021 Baldwin Shooting
Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced a Freeport man was convicted today for his role in the October 2021 murder of a 23-year-old man in Baldwin. Darin Semple, 22, of Freeport, was convicted Monday after a jury trial before Judge Helene Gugerty of Murder in the Second Degree (an A-I felony); Robbery in the First Degree (a B violent felony); and Robbery in the Second Degree (a C violent felony). Semple is due back in court for sentencing on May 3, 2024, and faces up to 25 years to life in prison.

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. -- A burial mix-up at a cemetery on Long Island has been corrected.In February, the Carletto sisters told CBS New York's Carolyn Gusoff that a stranger had been buried in their family plot at Beth Moses Cemetery in West Babylon. Because of the mix-up, their mother, Sheila Carletto, had to be buried in a plot 150 feet away.The Carletto sisters said their grandfather had purchased the deed to four plots through a social club in 1976, but the cemetery's vice president told CBS New York they had no record of that because the social club kept all the records.Hundreds of private burial societies manage who gets buried in the cemetery and where, according to Beth Moses.Wednesday, Sheila Carletto's remains were reinterred in her family's plot. The bodies were moved at the expense of the cemetery.The Carletto family says they still plan to file a lawsuit.
