One person killed in Itasca County vehicle crash Saturday
NASHWAUK, Minn. (Northern News Now) - One person is dead after a vehicle crash in Itasca County Saturday. According to authorities, around 10:00 a.m. the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a fatal hit-and-run accident in Nashwauk. The incident happened on 2nd Street near Larue Court.
State Fair CEO to Speak in Grand Rapids – Open to public
The new CEO of the Minnesota State Fair, Renee Alexander, will speak at the fairgrounds in Grand Rapids at noon on June 12th. The public is invited. Her topic will start with a short video on the Minnesota State Fair followed by Q&A about the benefits of fairs in Minnesota. There will be a lunch provided by the Itasca County Fairboard and NO CHARGE for this presentation. You are asked to pre-register as there is limited seating. The Grand Rapids/Greenway girls lacrosse team earned their seventh straight win defeating Hermantown/Proctor 14-4 at Hermantown High School Tuesday night. Mercury Bischoff scored with seconds left in the first quarter to put the Lightning up 6-0. The Stealth broke onto the board early in the second quarter with their first goal coming from Lexi Hoops.
