Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is set to make her regular-season debut for the Indiana Fever on Tuesday, May 14.

Arguably the most electric player in sports right now, Clark has the entire basketball world anxiously awaiting her debut game against the Connecticut Sun.

It's not just the basketball world, though.

Earlier this week, longtime Indianapolis Colts quarterback and NFL legend Peyton Manning was asked to share a few words about Clark's arrival. He sounded excited, however, also brought up a major sports conflict the two had in the past.

"It's awesome," Manning began. "I've really enjoyed getting to know Caitlin even more. Throughout this series, she was a guest on our show, the Monday night show, last year.

"She's a Chiefs fan. I forgive her for that, but she said she did grow up kinda watching me play."

Despite their NFL disagreement, Manning continued by saying that Indianapolis is a "great place" for Clark to play.

"She's going to love Indianapolis," Manning said. "I gave her all my contacts at the airport, at St. Elmo's. Some behind the ropes things here in Indianapolis."

Clark scored 21 points in her preseason debut for the Fever last week.

Indiana will play one more preseason game tomorrow night before regular-season action begins May 14.
