Social media users quickly found someone to blame for the Knicks' horrendous start to Game 7 of their second-round series with the Pacers.

Indiana took a 70-55 lead into halftime by shooting 76 percent from the court.

Some labeled ESPN's Stephen A. Smith a "jinx" for covering Sunday's game in person at Madison Square Garden instead of the network's studio.

Smith gave a hyped pre-game report from the Garden, declaring, "It's electric," and "Everybody's coming to the Garden."

According to ESPN's Tim Bontemps, the Pacers had the best shooting half by any team in the NBA playoffs in the last 25 years.

They finished the game shooting 67.1 percent in the 130-109 win, the best mark in NBA postseason history.

"Jinx lol," responded one social media user.

"You jinxed them," plainly stated another.

"This why the knicks getting cooked and about to lose," predicted one more.

"No one deserves watching the Knicks lose a Game 7 in The Garden more than Stephen A Smith," sneered one account.

Smith, for his part, issued a one-word response to the loss: "Pain."
