Indiana Fever general manager Lin Dunn has been around the game of basketball for a long time. Dunn first became a coach in 1970, making multiple stops at the college ranks before heading to the WNBA.

And in her 50+ years of coaching and managing, she's never had a player quit like Caitlin Clark, who the Fever used the No. 1 overall pick on in the 2024 WNBA NBA draft out of Iowa.

Dunn raved about the addition of Clark, saying she believes the superstar will adjust to the pros better than people think.

“I’m a real big fan of what she’s already been able to accomplish in the spotlight,” Linn said. “The tremendous spotlight. I also think that she’s going to adjust to the pros better than people think she is."

"When you watch Clark you say ‘how does she hit those threes from the logo? How does she make those great passes?’ She’s physically strong. She’s got strength in her legs, in her core and in her hands. So I’m expecting her to have an impact on the WNBA.”

Dunn was an assistant coach with the Fever from 2004-07, and was promoted to head coach in 2008, a position she held until 2014 when she announced her retirement.

Dunn came out of retirement in 2016 and spent seven years with Kentucky's baksetball program before becoming the GM of the Fever in 2022.
