Simple Coffee holds grand opening event at new Fraser location
Simple Coffee Co. held its grand opening event Monday after working on the new Fraser location for about six months. It is located in the new mixed-use building at 406 Zerex St. next door to the newly opened Birdie Lounge. The coffee shop quietly opened its doors about three weeks ago.
Celebrate local artist Vera Coberley at Cozens Ranch Museum
As the snow melts and we enter mud season, visitors can take a peek at some beautiful sights through the eyes of local artist Vera Coberley. Coberley, an oil and pastel artist, will showcase her beautiful pieces in the gallery for the month of May. She began practicing it in 2019. What started as an interest in tapestry weaving morphed into a mission to seek better designs, leading her to take lessons in drawing and painting.
One more inch of snow would mean 400" season for Colorado resort
Throughout the 2023-2024 ski season, Steamboat Resort and Winter Park Resort were facing off in a battle to become the snowiest resort in Colorado. Granby Health Fair offers free medical screenings
The Granby Health Fair will take place Saturday, May 11, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the Granby Elementary School. The fair aims to bring together local health care providers who can share knowledge with locals and offers free medical screenings. There will be free child care for those who need it.
Granby Rec offers baseball, CPR classes
Adults and kids can join the Granby Recreation Department for fun activities this summer. Join Granby recreation and Grand CPR for a course that equips students to recognize and care for many first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies, involving adults, children and infants. There is an online portion that must be completed prior to the in-person training that will be held on May 22, from 6-9 p.m. at the Granby Community Building. The cost is $100 per person and registration is required.
Water that used to irrigate Granby hay fields to return to Colorado River and Grand County lakes
Grand County and Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District, otherwise known as Northern Water, have agreed to work together on an operational framework that will give Grand County’s waterways as much as 7,000 acre-feet of additional controllable water from the Colorado-Big Thompson Project for stream enhancement. The volume available for streamflow improvement will be dependent on annual river conditions and C-BT Project storage levels.

A dead gray wolf found in Larimer County last month was most likely killed by a mountain lion, according to information from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
