Search efforts continue for missing man from Hot Sulphur Springs
Editor’s note: This story has been edited to clarify the correct day of the week the search resumed. On Thursday, Grand County Sheriff’s Office resumed its search for Ari Harms, who was last seen at Pioneer Park campground in Hot Sulphur Springs on May 28. Harms is a white male in his thirties and authorities have been searching for him since May 29.

Officials close Trail Ridge Road due to icy conditions
Update: As of 1:30 p.m. the road closure will remain in effect for the rest of the day because of snow and ice. Staff will reassess the road tomorrow for any updates. As of 7:55 a.m., portions of Trail Ridge Road are closed due to ice and snow. Milner Pass on the west side and Rainbow Curve on the east side are both closed.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office in Colorado has declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This is in line with a national observance. The office is using this time to highlight the issue of domestic violence. They are also recognizing the work of Grand County Advocates for a Violence-Free Community. This group is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that aims to end domestic and sexual violence.

Search for missing RMNP trail runner from Fort Collins comes up empty
The search continues for a Fort Collins man who went missing in Rocky Mountain National Park last week. Chad Pallansch, 39, was due back from a trail run on Thursday. His wife last heard from him around lunchtime Wednesday. Park rangers said his vehicle remains parked at the North Inlet Trailhead on the park’s west side. Rangers are using ground and air crews to search a 28-mile route from East Inlet across the Continental Divide that includes established trails and backcountry.
