Huth, Andres Drive in Two Runs Apiece for Chatham Softball in 9-8 Loss to Madison as Dodgers Score Two Runs in Top of the 7th
CHATHAM, NJ -- Maddie Huth collected a single, a double and two RBI and Avery Andres reached base three times, scored a run and knocked in one for Chatham in a 9-8 softball setback to Madison on Saturday night at Shunpike Field. Madison (12-10) scored twice in the top of the seventh to plate the final two runs of the game before the Dodgers held off Chatham (4-16), which loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER It was the final game for Chatham seniors Abby Bailey, Austen Dempsey, Riley Druhot, Liza Holberton and Christina Stuart. Bailey walked twice, was hit by a pitch, stole two bases and scored a run for the Cougars while Druhot walked, scored a run and connected for her first career triple in the game. Millburn Founding Day: Celebrating History and Culture with CEDA
MILLBURN, NJ -- On Saturday, May 18, the Millburn Culture, Engagement, Diversity and Arts Committee (CEDA) presented Founding Day at Taylor Park. The afternoon saw a clean-up of Taylor Park, a mill wheel art display, environmental education by Millburn Climate Action and the Millburn Environmental Commission and historical tours (featuring Israel Condit, Caroline Condit and Gertrude Taylor interpreters). Additionally, Period Costume Artist Jessica Rios conducted a live sketching of Taylor Park that was raffled off at the end of the event.
