    ‘A cold, dark space’ - Vacancy at Five Points retail center causes frustration

    HIGH POINT — Hopes that an economic development project might boost a struggling part of High Point have not been realized.

    The city announced more than two years ago that ChenMed, a national chain of primary care medical practices, planned to open an office in the long-vacant anchor space of a Five Points shopping center in a project that would create 30 jobs paying more than $90,000 a year.
