Police Identify Edison Resident Killed in Early Morning Accident on Route 1
EDISON, NJ - Police have identified the Edison resident who was killed in an early morning accident on Route 1. Raul Montoya-Chavez, age 22, was hit by an SUV while riding on an electric scooter on Wednesday morning, according to authorities. Police say the accident occurred at 1:46 AM on Route 1 South at the intersection of Plainfield Avenue. Montoya-Chavez was crossing when he was hit by an SUV being driven by a 61-year-old man from Rahway who was heading to work, according to police.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Montoya-Chavez was transferred to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and was pronounced dead. Trenton man wanted to kill white people in a mass shooting at Robbinsville gym and Aldi, authorities allege
A Mercer County man was arrested May 10 for sending an internet post containing threats to kill white people, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced on May 14. Joshua Cobb, 23, of Trenton was charged by complaint with one count of transmitting a threat in interstate and foreign commerce. Cobb, a former U.S. Marine, mentioned the Jersey Strong Gym in Robbinsville and Aldi as potential sites for a mass shooting, authorities said.
Plainfield man sentenced to 40 years for girlfriend's murder
A 24-year-old Plainfield man has been sentenced to 40 years in state prison for the 2020 strangulation death of his 19-year-old girlfriend. Bryan Gonzalez Martines, was sentenced May 15 to four decades in state prison by Union County Superior Court Judge Thomas Isenhour, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James T. Abney announced.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old boy from Port Richmond who was reported missing. Armando Acevedo Solano was last seen leaving his Lexington Avenue residence on Wednesday at around 2:45 p.m., according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Jackson was part of a second-story crew that the FBI said worked from a hit list of dozens of homes in the four states based on “stereotype and opportunity" from Dec. 2, 2016, to March 20, 2019.
