14-year-old arrested in slashing of man, 19, at shopping plaza on Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with the slashing of a 19-year-old at a popular shopping center in Eltingville. The assault occurred in front of the Greenridge Plaza at 3275 Richmond Ave. on Tuesday at about 6:55 p.m., according to a spokesman for the NYPD.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler has once again issued a warning to area residents regarding telephone scammers posing as Mercer County Sheriff’s Officers. Over the past several days, a statement said, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints from the public about suspected phone scams asking residents for personal bank account information and immediate cash payments. Pedestrian Killed South Amboy
The man's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, South Amboy police said on Wednesday, April 24. On Wednesday, April 17 at approximately 4:15 p.m. South Amboy police responded to the intersection of South Broadway and John Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Police found a male victim lying in the roadway and began life-saving efforts. The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
