Sabato Adds Name To Record Book Twice, But Saints Fall 10-4
ST. PAUL, MN (September 11, 2026) - Aaron Sabato did everything he could to help the St. Paul Saints shrinking playoff chances. He added his name to the franchise single-season record book twice, once for homers and once for doubles. It wasn’t enough, however, to stop the oncoming train that was the Syracuse Mets offense giving up nine runs in the first two innings as they lost 10-4 at CHS Field in front of 7,221. The loss keeps the Saints at 3.0 back with eight to play, but in sixth place.

Saints come up short in Thursday game against Syracuse
There would be no dramatic comeback for the St. Paul Saints on Thursday night. After coming back from four run deficits in each of the first two games, the Syracuse Mets bullpen finally silenced the Saints bats in a 6-2 loss at CHS Field in front of 7,067. By virtue of the loss, the Saints are 3.0 games out of the lone second half playoff spot with just nine games remaining.

Same Script, Different Ending, Saints Come From Behind For 5-4 Walk-Off Win
ST. PAUL, MN (September 9, 2026) - It’s not ideal to fall behind by four runs and attempt to come back on a nightly basis. But for the second consecutive night the St. Paul Saints dug themselves a 4-0 hole. Just like Tuesday night they came back and tied the game up. Unlike Tuesday night, it was the Saints who scored last as they walked off the Syracuse Mets for a 5-4 victory at CHS Field in front of 5,971.

Johnson comes back to defeat St. Agnes
Many St. Paul Johnson fans were wondering what the Governors football team would look like this season after losing key players to graduation last summer. The three players who walked across the stage at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul last June, quarterback Ali Farfan, wide receiver/cornerback Justice Moody and running back/strong safety Jacoby Wiggins, were big contributors to Johnson’s 7-4 record (4-0 against St. Paul City Conference foes) last season.

Football Drops Tight Opener in California
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Football season has arrived for the University of Northwestern, albeit in a different time zone than usual. The Eagles made the trip out to California to open their season at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, one of the premier athletics programs in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. It's the third time the two programs have met, after a home-and-home series was played out in 2018 and 2019, with CMS winning both matchups. Saturday's tilt was the closest yet, but the Stags were able to parlay a strong start with the only two points of the second half to clinch a 19-14 victory in a climate surprisingly cooler than the Twin Cities.
