She has been in law enforcement for nearly 30 years, beginning as a dispatcher in 1996 in Seabrook, located between Clear Lake and Trinity Bay on the outskirts of Houston. After dispatching for nearly seven years, Konvichka went through the police academy in 2001 and began her career as an officer at the Lakeview Police Department in Seabrook. Commissioners Spend on Debris Removal, Dump Trailer; Accept Annual Bids for ’24-’25
Limestone County commissioners during their Tuesday, July 23, meeting voted to purchase equipment and hired a contractor to clear storm debris. The meeting was led by Precinct 4 Commissioner Bobby Forrest, as Judge Richard Duncan was absent due to illness. Commissioners considered five bids for a dump trailer for the Road and Bridge Department, and eventually followed Administrator James Trantham’s recommendation for Texas Pride trailer. They unanimously approved the $19,030.25 trailer purchase, to be funded from the contingencies budget line. Limestone Medical Center EMS has received a new LIFEPAK 35 Monitor/Defibrillator. This monitor/defibrillator is clinically advanced, life-saving device with proprietary tools and technology built on an intuitive platform for advanced patient care. The LIFEPAK 35 has a high-definition, 10.4” customizable display, durable, chemically reinforced glass and is double-glove friendly. Clinically advanced therapy tools include cprINSIGHT analysis technology that helps improve CPR performance by reducing pauses during chest compressions. It has a life view 12/15-lead with STJ Insight that provides a graphical representation of the electrocardiogram (ECG) to help diagnose myocardial injury. Pediatric automated external defibrillator (AED) mode helps treat patients with escalating biphasic energy from 1J to 360J. Biphasic waveform devices utilize bidirectional current flow as opposed to monophasic AED, where the current flows are in one direction. Every second counts on an ambulance call and the monitor/defibrillator will accelerate patient care, organize workflow and streamline communication. LMC Foundation Purchases New Kodak Alaris S3000 Scanner
Limestone Medical Center Business Office has received a new Kodak Alaris S3000 Scanner. Staff scan large batches of daily insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) forms. These EOBs are scanned into a daily file that is shared by the billing staff allowing access to search payments. In addition to insurance records, the scanner will be used for other Business Office and Medical Record document scanning. The scanner provides sharper images to deliver more accurate data to applications via optical character recognition (OCR) software, searchable PDF and barcode reading. Perfect Page technology creates crisp images from even poor-quality originals while scanning at rated speeds. The scanner removes streaks, smooths backgrounds, has the capability to image edge fill and more automatic image enhancements. Gulett, Rivers reel in “The Show” championship title on Toledo
Louisiana anglers Benji Gulett and Dustin Rivers weighed in a three-day total 75.95 pounds on 15 bass to top 70 teams in the 2024 Brandon Belt Team Series Championship held July 12-14 on Toledo Bend. They earned the top prize of $100,000, plus $10,000 in contingency money. Shaine Campbell and Wyatt Frankens took second place with 68.58. They won $22,000 cash, plus a fully rigged Bass Cat Cougar for finishing out the season as Team of the Year. Tim Reneau and Bryan Hoffman finished in third place with 63.28; $10,000 cash.
Texas Water Development Board approves $16,000,000 to the Bistone Municipal Water Supply District for a water supply project
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $16,000,000 in multi-year financing from the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT)* program to the Bistone Municipal Water Supply District (Limestone County). The District will use the assistance for the planning, acquisition, design, and construction of a water supply project. The District could save approximately $1,300,000 during the first year of the multi-year financing by using the SWIFT program. With the assistance approved today, the District will acquire and develop a new well field in the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer by drilling and completing up to 10...
Junior Officer Lincoln to the Rescue!
The Groesbeck Police Department recently came to the aid of an elderly resident who had accidentally locked themselves out of their house. Finding all doors and windows securely locked, officers noticed a small doggy door near one of the exterior doors and decided to seek the assistance of Junior Officer Lincoln.Lincoln, recognized for his readiness to help in unusual situations, promptly arrived at the scene. He crawled through the doggy door and unlocked the door from inside, allowing the resident to regain access to their home."Junior Officer Lincoln has been with us for a few years now, and we appreciate his willingness to help out when he's needed," Groesbeck Police Chief Chris Henson said in a statement. Kosse Council Approves Tractor Purchase
