City tax proposal contested at hearing: Budget set for vote on Thursday
A proposed budget that increases spending by $15 million and places the city tax rate 2.69 cents above revenue neutral drew a mix of opposition and support during a public hearing at Monday’s Greenville City Council Meeting. City staff is recommending the council adopt a nearly $175.97 million budget for 2024-25 when it meets again on Thursday. ATV driver caught hiding in bushes after fleeing Kinston police at local park
LENOIR COUNTY, NC — A Lenoir County man was arrested and charged with felony flee to elude and careless/ reckless driving following an ATV chase on Saturday.
