    Avelo Airlines launches 2 non-stop routes from GSP to major East Coast metros

    Avelo Airlines has launched two new nonstop routes between the Upstate’s Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and New York’s Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC).

    Avelo is the first and only airline offering nonstop service between these two destinations and the Upstate, according to an Avelo news release.

    Avelo will operate these routes twice weekly, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, the release stated:

    • Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC): will operate this route twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays
    • Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT): will operate this route twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays

    In addition to these two new routes, Avelo will double its frequency of flights to Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) to four flights a week on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, the release stated.

    With the addition of these new routes, Avelo will now serve three nonstop destinations from GSP: Manchester, N.H./Boston; Rochester, N.Y.; and New Haven, Conn.
