Gotterup wins inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic; finishes 22 under
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C (WMBF) – The winner of the first-ever Myrtle Beach Classic has been crowned. Chris Gotterup, 24, from Easton, Maryland won the inaugural tournament by finishing 22 under. This is Gotterup’s first PGA TOUR title in his 27th career start. He now qualifies for next week’s PGA Championship.

Easton man arrested for auto theft
EASTON — An Easton man was arrested on charges of theft, malicious destruction of property and the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. According to a news release from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, deputies were investigating an auto theft that had recently occurred in the Easton area. During investigation, deputies located the vehicle in the parking lot of Hertrich Ford of Easton being operated by Willard Thomas Lister III, 36. Police said deputies observed signs of malicious destruction of property at Hertrich Ford of Easton, and after a “brief struggle,” they apprehended Lister. Lister was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking Facility for processing and an initial appearance before a district court commissioner. He was held pending further action by the court, according to the news release.
