    CENTREVILLE — Get ready to embark on a journey of creativity, community and culinary delights as the Centreville Farmers’ Market announces its highly anticipated return for the 2024 season. The market’s grand opening is Mother’s Day, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Market, located on Lawyer’s Row (closed to traffic), continues every Sunday through Nov. 10.

    Located in the heart of Centreville, the Centreville Farmers’ Market is not your average market; it’s quickly becoming a hustling hub of artisanal craftsmanship and local produce. With an emphasis on makers and producers, the market boasts an eclectic array of handmade goods, farm fresh produce, and gourmet treats.

    But that’s not all — we’re proud to offer an array of family-friendly activities, including Family Days, Cruise-Ins, and community events and wellness activities, as well as occasional live entertainment to enhance your shopping experience.

    At the Centreville Farmers’ Market, everyone is welcome. “We’re delighted to be a child and pet-friendly destination, where families and individuals can shop, socialize, and create lasting memories together,” says Market Board Member Jennifer Moore. “We offer flexible opportunities for vendors of all kinds, including full-time, part-time and drop-in options, with a special focus on nurturing our junior vendor program which grows with each passing season. We welcome nonprofits and youth groups that would like to enhance your visibility, contact us to set up at the farmers’ market,” Moore adds.

    Market vendors are enrolled on an ongoing basis. At press time, full-time, part-time and drop-in market vendors include: Bartenfelder Farm; Harris Farm; Rosy Side Farm; Lucky Heart Bakery; Carrie Sue’s Cupcakes/Specialty Foods; Doehrn Tea Company; Joy and June Farm; Hope Found Farm; Lela & Co.; Kent Island Spice Co.; AA Clothing; Chesapeake Mushrooms; Shore Sweets; Sabrina’s Creation; Little Connie’s Kettle Corn; and Gobble Chic Farm/Mother Cluckers.

    The Centreville Farmers’ Market will host several special events throughout the season including Fit with Aundra, Camp Pecometh Day on May 19, and Talomato Project, Youth Programs/Murals.
