    Bridge work continues in western Kansas

    GRAINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) — A bridge repair project on K-23 Highway is getting underway soon.

    The Kansas Department of Transportation says starting Thursday, May 9, crews will begin working on the K-23 bridge over Interstate 70, about one mile west of Grainfield in Gove County. They will be repairing the bridge deck and pavement overlay.

    KDOT says temporary traffic signals will be placed on K-23 and the I-70 off-ramps to help guide vehicles through the work zone. Work is expected to be finished by June. The project is part of the Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program’s Development Pipeline .
