AARP awards grant to Go Ottawa
OTTAWA — AARP announced that Go Ottawa has received a 2024 Community Challenge grant. Go Ottawa will conduct at least three bike audits that will result in recommendations for making both walking and biking safer. The audits will take place from July to September, and the results will be shared with the community to help inform the design and construction of Ottawa’s first bike trail.
Trilogy Health to expand Ottawa campus
OTTAWA — Trilogy Health Services is moving forward with plans to expand a senior living campus in Ottawa. “The Villas at Ottawa” will include 16 buildings with two units each, adding 30 patio homes to The Meadows of Ottawa campus at 147 Putnam Parkway. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2025. The units will be built south of the existing nursing home campus.

Rabies vaccine baits to be dropped in Portage, Columbiana and Carroll counties
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin distributing oral rabies vaccine baits for wildlife in parts of eastern Ohio starting Monday and continuing through most of August.
