Dolly Parton tribute show coming to Galesburg this week

“The Dolly Show,” starring Kelly O’Brien, will bring a tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton to the Orpheum Theatre in Galesburg at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22. According to a community announcement, the performance is part of the Orpheum Theatre’s 2026-27 season. The show features O’Brien performing Parton’s music and stage persona through a production built around songs from across Parton’s career. Audience members also will have an opportunity to support a literacy program associated with Parton’s charitable efforts. Literacy partnership tied to performance As part of the Orpheum Theatre’s “The Gift of Performance. The Power of Community.” initiative, the theater is partnering with United Way of West Central Illinois to highlight Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Representatives from United Way of West Central Illinois will accept donations during the event to support the program, which provides books to young children and encourages early reading.
