Global AI company brings new tech, U.S. operations to Toledo
An artificial intelligence and software company founded in India is looking to grow its footprint in the United States and aims to hire 60 employees at its Toledo office. After establishing its U.S. headquarters at the Innovation Post, a technology hub near downtown Toledo, two years ago, iTCart has been gaining its footing. The company, led by co-founder and global CEO Jeffrey Hubbard, is now ready to expand to clients across the country and is starting that growth in northwest Ohio. The company’s flagship product is AiXHub — an enterprise operating system that connects all the software systems a company uses into one dashboard. It allows businesses to aggregate data, use AI to automate processes, set strict policies and guidelines for AI models, and produce insights that guide decisions. Mr. Hubbard and Rohim Uddin, who had previously worked together, founded iTCart in 2021. The company’s product quickly gained a foothold in India, where major companies in the banking sector and other industries adopted the software. As the company looked to establish an office in the United States, Toledo ended up on Mr. Hubbard’s radar. He called an old friend, former ProMedica CEO Randy Oostra, who gave him a tour of

Entrepreneur builds cleaning business around peace, fresh starts
Nikole Landrum knows how living in an unclean space can quietly steal a person’s peace. As a child, she spent years in unstable, often unclean environments while her mother struggled with drug addiction, she said. “I used to live in very dirty situations because I had no choice, like the homes we were in,” she said. “Me and my mom were homeless for a lot of years.” Those experiences left a deep mark, shaping her determination to create clean, peaceful spaces not only for herself but also for others. In 2025, Mrs. Landrum launched Simple Serene Clean , a cleaning service she sees as a way to break the cycle she grew up in. “Keeping a clean area was something big for me, so giving back to people and to give them that transformation and that peace back has been a huge piece of my business,” she said. After completing her first cleaning job, she advertised on the Nextdoor app, where a satisfied client posted about her work, bringing a flood of new opportunities. “She ended up loving me. She posted me, and within 48 hours I had 15 clients,” she said. The company began as a one-woman venture, with
