The bakery opened Oct. 22 at 2720 Sidney St. in SouthSide Works, according to a community announcement. Its menu includes traditional croissants and pain au chocolat alongside matcha chocolate croissants and pork floss pastries, which combine flaky pastry with sweet-and-savory shredded pork. Customers also can order Vietnamese coffee, fresh-fruit teas and house-made matcha drinks. Fruit-shaped desserts draw social media attention Among Opafe’s most distinctive items are realistic fruit-shaped mousse desserts that have become a social media sensation, according to the announcement.
