Two arrested following robbery
The Alexandria Police Department identified and arrested two individuals in connection with a robbery and use of a firearm according to a release. On May 25, Fredericksburg, VA resident Michael Lazo, 19, and Alexandrian Deshaun Stoney, 32, robbed a commercial space in the 3700 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. The suspects were arrested and a firearm was seized.

A woman in Stafford was arrested for striking two 14-year-old pedestrians with her car in Aquia Harbour. The driver was reported to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol on her breath. She admitted to drinking before driving and was charged with driving under the influence.

Shots fired early Sunday morning in Fredericksurg
Fredericksburg Police say that at 4:13 Sunday morning a call was received about several reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Hillcrest Drive. Spokeswoman Sarah Morris says patrol officers responded to discover three homes struck by bullets and several cartridge casings in the roadway. No one was injured.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for any information regarding a breaking and entering yesterday in Leeland Station subdivision. Yesterday afternoon Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to a home on Riggs Road for a breaking and entering. The homeowner reported his residence was entered between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Cash and personal property were reported stolen.

Pursuit of a Wanted Suspect
If you are wanted, it’s not the best move to break traffic laws in front of a deputy. One wanted Stafford man learned the hard way as he was foiled by Deputy B.E. Vaughn. On May 24th at approximately 5:13 p.m. Deputy Vaughn was traveling on Staffordboro Boulevard during the rush hour. He observed a driver who was displeased with traffic. In his hurried state, the driver began passing vehicles and drove straight through a turn lane. After witnessing the obvious traffic lane violation, Deputy Vaughn turned on his emergency equipment in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop.
