Upcoming Closure of Northbound I-81 Welcome Center for HVAC Upgrades
The northbound Interstate 81 Welcome Center in Franklin County, located approximately one mile north of the Maryland state line, will be closed from June 3-7 for the replacement of its HVAC system with a more energy-efficient model. This closure will also affect the Welcome Center parking area. The nearest alternative rest area on northbound I-81 is just north of Exit 37 (Route 233/Newville).
