Dense fog is the main concern this morning. Typically within the fog, there may be some areas of drizzle. Once the fog dissipates we will see sunshine and clouds this afternoon along with warmer temperatures. There is a low chance of a shower or storm this afternoon or evening. Most areas stay dry.

VERSAILLES — The Versailles High School Class of 2024 will receive their diplomas from high school on Sunday, May 26, at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The class motto is “We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.” The class flower is the orange rose.

Baseball Recap: Wapakoneta comes up short despite Zac Niekamp's strong performance
It was a good run, but Wapakoneta unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-2 to the Lexington Minutemen. Wapakoneta was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lexington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

——- Last night the residence of Rev. Henry Daniels at Botkins was broken into by burglars. Entrance was gained by forcing the front door. The burglars were apparently frightened away when Rev. Daniels suddenly appeared in the hall. Entry was also made into the office at the C.H.&D depot. There a money drawer was broken open, but the burglars secured only four cents for their trouble.
Calendar Photo Contest open for ages 50 and older
The Area Agency on Aging, PSA 2, produces a free calendar each year highlighting scenery, people, places, history and more throughout the nine-county region. For the 2025 calendar, the organization hosts a calendar photo contest inviting photographers ages 50 and older who live in the nine-county region (Logan, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby counties) to submit photos.
Minster to award diplomas to 70 students
MINSTER — Minster High School will hold its graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 26, 2024. There will be 70 students receiving their degrees. Commencement will begin at 1 p.m. at Minster Elementary School, 50 E. Seventh St., Minster. The Baccalaureate Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 48 N. Hanover St., Minster.
