Mansfield man who allegedly stabbed another man over an ex-girlfriend has trial pushed back
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The trial for a Mansfield man who is facing charges for a March stabbing has been pushed back until September 2024. 30-year-old Rocky Hayner signed a time waiver this week, and the judge has moved the trial back to the fall. His lawyer has asked that statements that he made during interviews with law enforcement be suppressed. A hearing will be held in July to discuss that motion.
Murder suspect to be extradicted back to Allen County
LIMA — A man charged with murder in the March 10 death of Lima resident Chrislande Auguste will be extradited from Rhode Island to Allen County later this month. Gervens Justilien was arrested March 29 in Providence, Rhode Island, as the principal suspect in Auguste’s death. His capture followed a collaborative investigation by the sheriff’s office and the U.S. Marshals Service’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Fire at Bluffton home results in minimal damage
BLUFFTON — A fire that started in the basement of a Bluffton home resulted in minimal damage and no injuries on Wednesday morning. According to the Bluffton Fire Department, the damage to the home at 143 Sunset Drive was mostly due to smoke and could have been caused by an electrical problem. The single occupant made it out safely with no injuries as well as the pets.
