Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains Graduates Class of 2024
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains held their graduation ceremony for the class of 2024 on Thursday, May 30. The ceremony was held on the front lawn of the campus, with diplomas and scholarships being awarded by UC Principal Sr. Percylee Hart, Assistant Principal Dr. Jim Reagan, and the rest of the Union Catholic staff. Congrats to the Winners of Linden Public Schools Student Video Contest: Enhancing School Safety
Linden, NJ -Linden Public Schools would like to say Congratulations to the winners of the "Keeping Our Students Safe" student video contest! Caleb Meza - Elementary Mehki Holmes - Middle School Johan Delcarmen and Elvia Duong - High School As part of our "It Takes a Village" initiative, students submitted a Public Service Announcement video focused on ways to positively enhance school safety and security. The voting was opened to the public, and we had over 31,000 views of the videos and over 2500 votes cast! The City of Linden contributed a cash prize. The winners will receive: $500 for Elementary, $750 for Middle School, and $1000 for High School. A huge thank you to all the students who submitted videos and to everyone who voted. NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- On May 15, North Plainfield School District, in partnership with the Plainfield Area of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), held its annual Overachiever Awards Ceremony. The ceremony offers an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of students in grades six through eight in the areas of academics, community involvement, and support of family life. Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS Students Raise $1,000+ for Osborn Cannonball House Museum in Scotch Plains Open Sunday, June 2
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Fanwood High School History Club presented a check for more than $1,000 on Wednesday, May 22, to the Osborn Cannonball House Museum that was raised via an event held outside the museum on Saturday, May 11. The Osborn Cannonball House Museum in Scotch Plains will be open on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., and will feature antique Edwardian clothing from the museum’s vast antique clothing collection. The museum is located at 1840 Front Street in downtown Scotch Plains near the intersection of Park Ave. and Front Street. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
