A man who was wanted for two years in Cherokee and Forsyth counties has been taken into custody, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office announced. A warning indicates that a tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar. Thunderstorms were coming through the area eastward across north Georgia Thursday morning; the forecast for Cherokee shows the chance of another thunderstorm before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers of thunderstorms, mainly between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., per the NWS. The chance of precipitation for Thursday is 90%, with new rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
